Discovering Hidden Gems in Fall

I’m not a big fan of fall or winter. My favorite season is summer. But in fall, I like the bright colors of the leaves, the grass, the fall flowers. I didn’t take the photos here with my camera, but with my mobile.

We actually just wanted to go for a walk in the small forest. But then I saw the colors everywhere. And we passed an magical pond. It looked as if no one had been there for years.
Not true, of course. We came across other tourists on our walk 😀 . This pond was like something out of a fairy tale.

For weeks I wanted to take photos of fall, but somehow I didn’t get there. No time, no camera, it’s raining and so on. Everybody knows that when you make plans and always something comes in between.

Yesterday I didn’t have to work and because I had an appointment to play outside and then had to go through a park, I took photos with my mobile phone instead of my camera.

Because I like to walk – on average more than 5 miles a day after work – I didn’t realize at the beginning how cold it got outside after hours.

Only when my mobile phone was shaking while taking photos because my hands were so cold did I go home.
I could save my almost frozen finger with a big cup of tea with lemon hihi

If I look at the photos like this, I don’t even need my camera for landscape shots anymore. My new mobile phone takes great photos.

Is summer really over?
If yes, then the weather doesn’t know that hehe
Last weekend it was so warm that I went out only with shirt and shorts to take photos.

I wanted to make the first fall photos in the sun, because there all colors shine and fall shows itself from its most beautiful side.

I took the first photo at a small tower. It was covered over and over with red leaves.

Not only have I enjoyed the sunny day, also bees were still on the way

Whether these are fall flowers, I don’t know. But the colors were simply fantastic.

But also some trees have their colourful leaves visible from afar

I wonder why the leaves do not turn from green directly to brown …
Is it nature’s help to tell the animals that, for example, bears have to put on winter fat, or birds have to fly to warmer regions?
Or is it just for people like me so we can take great photos? Hihi

WOW I didnt knew it has been this long since my last post.:(

A wunderful summer with going to the beach, being lazy sometimes, hunting Pokemon and skipping my sewing lessons for more than 2 months is over. ❤

Besides my vacation on the beach I didnt made lots of photos this summer.

But when the colors of the leaves started to change, the apples and grapes looked so delicious I had to take my camera to make photos.

I made a lot of photos this day. When checking them on my computer I saw that I could put them in 2 categories.

Part one very colorful with red, green, orange. Part two brown, grey.

Both categories are lovely. I for myself prefer the colorful part, but fall wont exist without the second part.

Last week I made photos of fall on a rainy cold day. The photos looked like made on a graveyard – dark, depressing

Yesterday we had sunshine, it has been warm enough to just wear a shirt AND it has been weekend hehehe. I went to the same places like last week. See the difference?

Goodbye summer, fall started (photos)

Since monday it is raining every day. Its depressing 😦

Today I went out with my camera to make photos. As you can see it wasnt my day to do so. It was cold, sun non existent, rainy and I has been tired. How I felt I saw later on my computer when I checked my new photos. It was funny when I opend photo by photo and all looked like the ones I show here. Most of them are dark, boring colors, without the typical colored fall photos.

Has it been the light outside? Or has it been me who havent seen the colorful side of fall?

I have to go out again to make photos when the rain will stop. But hey, it doesnt have to be always the perfect time for me to make photos. Even if I like my photos more colorful, more like a perfect day photo, these photos show an other side of me.

After a very long time we decided to search geocaches again and looking for lost places. It has been months since the last cache.

Whats there to say? We choosed the worst weather to look for caches: rain, lightnings, thunder. We only found one cache, but also a nice lost place. We couldnt explore the place because of the rain. The terrain has been to slippery.

So we went to a park and made a few photos

Back at home we both were nearly soaked to the skin, were hungry, tired, but had a lot of fun 🙂

As a reward for what we went through LOL we watched Doctor Who yeahhhhhh

Still waiting for the sewing course to start ……

its been september and I didnt got the phone call for my sewing course so far 😦

when I went to the fabric store weeks ago they told me I will be on the next course in september. I was so excited to start with my sewing lessons.

I will go to this store again this week and ask what happend. Why they didnt called me.

My shelf isnt ready either. In “About me” I wrote, that my free time is very limited. This is the reason I couldnt work on my shelf every day. After 10 to 12 hours a day at work I dont have enough energy to work on my shelf. And some days I have been lazy hehe.

Lets say it, I thought it would be going much faster to make this shelf. I believe I make every mistake with this wood working you can do. This is also one of the reasons I’m not finished yet. I want to make it as perfect as can be. Its unbelievable how often I had to start from the beginning because I didnt liked how I worked. I didnt changed my idea or the plan to make this shelf, but when one door is nearly done, I see something I dont like. Maybe no one but me would see it isnt perfect, but this is way too many LOL

Here a few pictures I made last week. Fall isnt really my season – I love the summer – but the colors are beautyful

Maybe in my next post I can write about my first sewing lesson.
